About Me


I hold a BS in Art and a MS in Special Education and I have taught Special Education for over 19 years. I also had the opportunity to take a break from teaching full time to stay home with my daughters for several years. During that time I started my own art business. I would go to art shows set up a booth to sell my work. I feel like my past has helped to prepare me for my final career destination and now I have become a full time art teacher and I love every minute of it. I am currently teaching at The Winston School in Dallas, Texas. The Winston School is a small college preparatory school designed to maximize the potential of bright students who learn differently. So many of our students are gifted with creative potential and I feel blessed to be a part of the Winston Visual Arts program. I teach 1st thru 8th grades. Also students in the upper school have the opportunity to take part in the Winston Visual Arts Academy.
